Editor

Responsibilities:

* To assist in the content- and copy-editing of manuscripts, discs or digital content and prepare them for Design and Production.
* To translate proofs (print and digital) and revise as necessary during production stages.
* To check proofs (print and digital) and revise as necessary during production stages.
* To assist in the preparation of art/photo/video/digital briefs and recording scripts.
* To conduct photo research and records maintenance for stock photos.
* To help the Design team brief artists, attend recordings, photo/video shoots.
* To assist in the preparation of budgets, schedules and publishing procedures.
* To assist in the commissioning, development and preparation of new titles.
* To liaise with the Marketing team to translate marketing material (print and digital) where applicable.

Requirements:

* A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution; further qualifications in TEFL/TESOL or related areas preferred;
* An in-depth understanding of the current and future trends in the Indonesian education market;
* Minimum 2-years editing experience;
* Knowledge of the publishing process, digital publishing, and budget management;
* Good communication skills and the ability to translate from English into Bahasa Indonesian.
* The ability to work closely and build relationships with all the relevant functions within the organization including Production, Sales & Marketing, Finance and HR, and externally with key partners;
